Platos biodegradables en segundos
Empieza el buen tiempo y cada vez apetece más hacer un picnic y comer debajo de un árbol. Pero poca gente reutiliza los platos de plástico y es de los materiales que más tardan en biodegradares. ¿Cuánto tiempo crees que tarda en descomponerse? ¿1 año? ¿5?… Muchísimo más. El plástico tarda en biodegradarse unos 500 años.
Hoy me ha llamado la atención UFO (Unidentified Feeding Object). Este “ovni” es un diseño de Andrea Ruggiero para el proyecto InDisposed que presenta diseños respetuosos con el medio ambiente.
Este plato desechable está hecho de una composición de semillas para aves, fécula de patatas, goma de guar y algas marinas que sirve para unir los demás ingredientes.Todos estos componentes hacen de UFO un plato extremadamente bio-degradable.
El proceso de biodegradación tarda mucho menos de 500 años, es cuestión de segundos. Al terminar de utilizarlos se tiran como si fueran discos voladores en el bosque o en el parque donde estés.
El plato se destruirá en mil pedazos con el impacto, esparciéndose por el suelo.
Los restos serán comidos en muy poco tiempo por los animales que habiten en estos lugares eliminando señales de que este plato algún día existió.
De momento UFO es sólo una propuesta pero espero que pronto se pueda comercializar.
